You may sign up whenever you would like, but most of our customers sign up a few months in advance of their due date and pick a date about 2 weeks prior to giving birth to receive their first delivery of clean diapers. We don't charge you anything until we start picking up your dirties, and you can always cancel service at any time.

We deliver roughly 20 miles in all directions from downtown Charlotte NC. We expect to expand to other parts of NC in 2022. Want to double check and make sure you are in our delivery area? Click here.

Unfortunately, it is not cost effective for us to buy diapers for only one family. However, if you are a bit worried that you are diapering your child with a diaper that was on some other kid last week, don't be. If you have slept in a hotel bed or used a cloth napkin at a restaurant you have shared cloth yourself. We wash our diapers with commercial grade washing equipment using multiple cycles of very hot water and specially formulated detergent. We then dry our diapers using high heat machinery to ensure our diapers are properly sanitized.

We deliver Monday through Friday. However, your specific delivery day will be based on your location so that we can optimize our routes and reduce our carbon footprint.

No. There are no startup fees, commitments or contracts. You may cancel at any time.

After you sign up in the app, you choose when to activate service. Typically, we deliver clean diapers about two weeks before your due date, and then we wait for you to activate service in the app which informs us to come start picking up dirty diapers each week.
-
When you sign up for service through our app, you choose your first delivery week. The day of the week will be based on your location. We recommend you select a date that is about 2 weeks prior to your due date.

The cloth diapering fans out there know that there are as many different types of cloth diapers as there are cars on the road. In an effort to spare our customers from having to go down the rabbit hole of cloth diapering terminology, Bum Dash has selected what we feel is the best option, what is referred to as an all-in-one diaper. An all-in-one diaper works just like a disposable diaper, but will have snaps instead of velcro.

Of course! We are very flexible and will work with you to coordinate delivery. If you're comfortable, you may give us the code to your building and we will pick up the diapers outside your door.
-
Your weekly service charge includes the delivery and laundering of up to 100 cloth diapers in whatever size you need, reusable pail liners for your diaper pails, and cloth wipes. Essentially, everything you need except a baby!

We wash your diapers with commercial grade washing equipment using multiple cycles of very hot water and specially formulated detergent. We then dry your diapers using high heat machinery to ensure your diapers are properly sanitized. Each load is tested to make sure the diapers are pH-balanced and ready to wear.
-
We ask that you have your diapers outside by 7:00a.m. on your delivery day. Please do not put your diapers out the night before. Diapers left outside for an extended period of time can attract some unwanted insects or other critters. Also, it is a good idea to always make sure your bag is fully zipped up! We cannot tell you exactly when your delivery will arrive, but all of our routes are completed between the hours of 7:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. so it's a good idea to put them out early in case you happen to be the first delivery on the list.

We sincerely hope you only cancel service because your child is potty trained. If you are canceling for any other reason, please let us try to help fix the problem! It is so important for us to know how to improve as we grow our small business. You may cancel in the app and we will schedule your final pick-up. On the day of your final pick-up, please be sure to leave all items (diapers, wipes, pail liners) outside and available for pick-up.

No! The diapers come to you completely sanitized and ready to wear. In fact, we ask that you do NOT wash our diapers for any reason. There is a bit of an art to washing cloth diapers and we prefer to be the only ones washing our diapers. Home washing can often lead to staining and absorbency problems. A diaper that is not properly pH balanced can also cause diaper rash in some babies. Just leave your diapers outside, we’ll take care of the dirty work!
-
In the app just choose to pause service, and click resume service when you return. You must pause and resume service by 7am the day before your delivery. This allows us time to know who we need to deliver to the next day.
-
Don’t worry. We will leave your clean diapers for the week and expect two week's worth of dirty diapers to be left out the following week. If we arrive the following week and there are no dirty diapers available for pick-up for a second week in a row, we will not be able to leave any clean diapers this time. We will leave a "Missed Delivery" sticky note on your door so you know we were there. Please email us at realperson@bumdash.com to schedule an alternate day for service that week.

You are probably referring to a study commissioned by Proctor & Gamble (the largest manufacturer of disposable diapers). This "independent" study found that cloth diapers required so much water to wash that they were less environmentally viable than disposables. This is completely false. In fact, that same study conceded that commercial diaper services were the most environmentally friendly way to diaper your child. But amazingly, P&G did not make that part of the study public!
